4. AI Processing & Glass AI

Glass Notes uses artificial intelligence to process your lecture notes and provide study assistance. When you use Glass AI:

Your notes and images may be processed by AI models to extract text, summarize content, and generate study materials
Images captured in Study Mode may be marked for temporary storage and skip AI processing
Conversations with Glass AI are stored to improve your experience and provide context
AI-generated responses may contain errors - always verify important information
We do not use your personal notes to train AI models without explicit consent

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Images are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

Service providers who assist in operating our services (cloud hosting, AI processing)
Legal authorities when required by law
Other users only when you explicitly share content via sharing features

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Temporary captures created in Study Mode are intended to be cleaned up automatically (about 1 hour), while regular notes are retained until you delete them. If you delete your account, we delete personal data within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention.

9. Notifications

Glass Notes does not currently send push notifications to users. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy before enabling that feature.

10. Children's Privacy

Glass Notes is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us immediately.
